Privacy Notification for Rethink Depression Twitter

In connection with your use of Rethink Depression Twitter, which is Lundbeck’s patient platform, (“Lundbeck” or “we”) will (as the data controller) collect, process, use and disclose personal data about you as described in more details in this Privacy Notification.

Lundbeck will process your personal data according to applicable legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

What categories of personal data are we processing and for what purposes?

We collect and process the following types of personal data about you:

  • name or user name
  • age, sex, country, and interests if you make these types of personal data publicly visible on your social media profiles.
  • In case you report an adverse event or any product issue on our social media channel, we need to collect and process your name, location, health related information and contact information such as a phone number or email address. We require this personal data in order to report to our Pharmacovigilance Department and relevant health authorities. Please refer to our adverse event reporting policy here

We process your personal data for the following purpose:

  • For the purpose of understanding our audience’s demographic, preferences and interests, and being able to provide our audience with more relevant information and news via our social media account.
  • For the purpose of optimizing our audience and targeting.

What is the legal basis for our processing of your personal data?

The legal basis for our collection and processing of your personal data set out above is the Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (“the balancing of interest test”)]. Lundbeck’s legitimate interests is to conduct internal data analysis to create and deliver more relevant and invaluable contents to our audience.

How long will we store your personal data?

We store your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes above, however, for no longer than 1.5 year after we have obtained it. In case of an adverse event or any product issue that you report to us on our social media, please refer to our adverse event policy here.

Your rights

Subject to certain exceptions and restrictions set out in applicable legislation, you enjoy the right to request access to your personal data, to have your personal data rectified, deleted, or processing thereof restricted, and to data portability.

You will have the right to object to the processing, including the right to object to automated individual decision making and profiling or direct marketing, if this takes place.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, such as the Danish Data Protection Agency.
